of CARE

"There's an onimous edge to CARE'S opening which is interstingly matched by its bright, positively styled colours.  It mixes a typical family tone of a brother-sister relationship and a slowly revealed drama, with a touch of a thriller.  ERIN ANNE MACDONALD creates a strong lead character with Victoria, both exploring her current struggle as well as the resilience and personaility beneath.  There's a genuine charisma beneath her frustration and anger, part of which is also her strong principles.  Her refusal to give in despite, what would feel like the entire world telling her she did the wrong thing, is sincerely admirable."

Film Carnage

"ERIN ANNE MACDONALD's performance is, understandably, the heart of the film. She flawlessly expresses the breadth of Victoria's complex and swiftly-changing emotions over the course of this fateful day and night. MacDonald swings effortlessly from simmering frustration to bitter hilarity to panicky outrage, pulling the audience along with her as she processes the injustice of her situation. Her final, desperate flight will likely render a viewer just as breathless as Victoria when the credits roll."

Indie Mash

"At a time when persecution in the eyes of the public is more prevalent and possible than ever before, CARE approaches that subject from the construct of a family unit, exploring the dynamics between a sister and brother, client and lawyer.  ERIN ANNE MACDONALD's Victoria is trapped in a prison, not comprised of walls, but public perception. A family drama with a tinge of psychological thriller, CARE asks if you could do the right thing, are you willing to accept the consequences?  Reminiscent of "Gone Girl," CARE plants itself firmly as a film that's ready to explore the terrifying power of media on everyday people, and how in the 21st century, no one is immune from the court of public opinion."

of WILD MEN

"There's nothing too deep to intellectualize with a movie like WILD MEN.  It takes on reality shows, where people hunt ghosts and go after Bigfoot, and exploits how deadly serious the people on the show take themselves. Pompousness is always something fun to mock, and it helps that Zack Abramowitz, who is very good here as Richard "Dick Hefelfinger", is surrounded by people who sometimes are on his side, and at other times call him out on his fervent ways (ERIN ANNE MACDONALD is excellent in such a role as the actual scientist with the TV crew looking for Bigfoot.)"
